These terms apply to Dragonfly Uploader, the Windows desktop app made by The Dragonfly Catalyst™ (“we”), its phone companion, and the Dragonfly account used with them. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.
YouTube Terms
Dragonfly Uploader uses YouTube API Services. By using the app you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
Your use of Google services is also covered by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy), and our handling of your data by the Dragonfly Uploader Privacy Policy (https://thedragonflycatalyst.org/apps/dragonfly-uploader/privacy).
Your account
You need a Dragonfly account to use the app. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Your username is chosen once and cannot be changed. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
Your YouTube channel and content
You connect your own YouTube channel through Google’s sign-in, and the app acts only on that channel. Only upload videos you own or have the right to publish. You are responsible for your content and for following the YouTube Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and copyright law. You can stop the app or remove its access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Free trial and subscriptions
New accounts get a 14-day free trial, with no card needed. After that, uploading to YouTube needs a subscription: $9.99 a month or $95.90 a year (USD), billed through Stripe at the price shown in the app before you buy. If you subscribe during your trial, you keep the trial days you have left.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the app (Manage subscription); cancelling stops the next charge, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We don’t give refunds for partial periods. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.
If your trial or subscription ends, uploads pause. Your archives, numbering and history keep working on your computer and nothing is deleted; uploads continue when you subscribe.
Copies of the app from the Microsoft Store are subscribed to the same way, through Stripe, not through the Store, and are updated by the Store.
Your files and titles
The app renames video files on your computer to match your archive’s numbering, but only after you review and confirm a preview. Every rename is logged and can be undone, and the app never deletes your files. It also keeps your YouTube titles matching the archive automatically. Keep your own backups of anything important; we can’t recover files that are lost outside the app.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the app to break the law or YouTube’s policies, upload content you don’t have rights to, get around YouTube limits or quotas, access someone else’s channel, or interfere with the app or our servers.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. Uploads depend on your computer, your internet connection, and Google’s and YouTube’s services and quotas, which we don’t control. We work to make sure no video is skipped, duplicated or lost, but we can’t guarantee the app will always run without interruption or error.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of content, views or revenue, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes or as Google’s and YouTube’s requirements change, and will change the effective date above.
